Del Kathryn Barton has been awarded the 2008 Archibald Prize for her painting "you are what is most beautiful about me, a self portrait with kell and arella". The Archibald Prize is one of Australia's longest standing and most celebrated art prizes with the winner receiving $50,000. Barton's painting can be viewed as part of the Archibald Exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, 8 March - 18 May, followed by The Regional Tour of the exhibition around Australia.
