Kate Rohde has been selected as a finalist for McClelland Sculpture Survey.
Displayed throughout 16 hectares of bush and landscaped gardens, the McClelland Sculpture Survey is intended to provide sculptors the opportunity to present their works in an outdoor exhibition context. The exhibition is accompanied by a major comprehensive catalogue. The selected artists are eligible for the McClelland Award 2010, an acquisitive award valued at A$100,000 and a A$20,000 people choice award. The McClelland Award 2010 will be judged by Tony Ellwood, Director, Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane.

Kate Rohde / Tarrawarra Museum of Art

Kate Rohde's solo exhibition, Flourish, is on display at Tarrawarra Museum, Victoria until 1 July, 2008. The exhibition is based upon the theme of the four seasons, and Rohde has transformed the gallery space with her lavish and highly choreographed sculpture and garden installations. Taking inspiration from the elaborate and decadent tradition of European landscaping and design, Flourish is a truly opulent affair.

Guan Wei and Kate Rohde / Adelaide Biennial 2008
Kate Rohde and Guan Wei are both exhibiting in the 2008 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art: Handle with Care. Curated by Felicity Fenner the exhibition is part of the Adelaide Bank Festival of the Arts and will be at the Art Gallery of South Australia, 1 March - 4 May.

Untitled: Portraits of Australia Artists

Kate Rohde included in the 2008 Adelaide Biennial

Kate Rohde has been chosen to exhibit in 'Handle with Care' the 2008 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art, 29 February – 16 March 2008. Curated by Felicity Fenner, the Adelaide Biennial is a major survey of contemporary art practice in Australia. Featuring recent work by selected Australian artists, the exhibition aims to consider the fragile nature of our relationships with the cultural and natural environments in which we live.

Kate Rhode has installed her sculpture Vicious Precious in the AMP Building forecourt, Circular Quay, while work by Del Kathryn Barton and David Griggs is visible throughout the inner city as part of the street banner project.
